November 2006
November Synopsis
November has started out rather warm, especially at night, helped
by cloud cover and warm tropical air bringing good rains on the 2nd and 3rd. The 59F minimums on the 3rd, 4th,
and 5th tied the record high minimum for November. This was broken with a 60F minimum on the 6th and a 62F minimum
on the 7th. The 7th also saw a new record high maximum temperature of 71F, surpassing the old record of 70F. Rains
have been frequent but not too heavy, giving us near normal precipitation for the month. The weather turned cold
after Thanksgiving (the 23rd), with the low temperature on the 29th equaling the lowest ever for November. The
maximum temperature on the 29th was only one degree warmer than the coldest maximum for November. So we went from
November record warmth to November record cold, all in the same month.
