Mattole Weather
March 2007
March Synopsis
March started cold but after a couple quite weak storms that
brought very little rain but then warmed nicely to the warmest temperatures since late October with highs in the
low to mid-70's. The 75F on the 16th was just 2F below the March record for this station. Altho temperatures cooled
somewhat by the end of the month, the average was still above normal. Unfortunately, the month was the driest in
downtown Petrolia in the past ten years (at least), the 3.00" total nipping the old record of 3.01" set
in 2004. No single month this rainy season has exceeded the long term average for its month altho November, December,
and February weren't too far off.
