February 2007
February Synopsis
February continued January's cold pattern for the first six days
until a series of warm storms brought welcome rains to the Mattole. A long wave ridge established itself by the
middle of the month, bringing warm and dry conditions. By the 20th, a long wave trof established itself for the
remainder of the month, bringing colder temperatures and rain. February was the third month in a row with the coldest
average temperature recorded at this station. The 44F maximum on the 28th was a new min/max record for any month.
